Let's INITIATE : build Initiatives & be Innovative in our Initiation

My dear fellow students,

Lets generate some ideas for our school. Think of something new & innovative, & develop our own unique identity as musicians & performers, as individuals & as a group.

Previously, I thought of literally bringing a "BIN", a simple green trash bin,  with recycle symbols, sticking a poster to it saying :
"Throw all your crazy ideas in this bin, & we'll recycle it together".

Being brought up in such conservative ways, most of us have the tendency to keep quiet, despite the fireworks & brilliant stuff happening in our heads. Only some lucky ones who have grown out of the curse of "shy", do speak out & make it happen. It would be such a pity that heaps of "outside-the-box" ideas came to us, yet it only stays as a mirage.

Perhaps our blog (THIS ONE) will be a good medium for many of us to learn to speak out. Polish ourselves like diamonds; rub away the dirt we tend to hide behind. It is time to BREAK THE CURSE... VOICE OUR HEARTS out to the world, and create a change, starting from ourselves; our being, our mind, our school, our ways.

   Lemme start...

What do you guys think of this...

i. LEARNING
a school with a room/area dedicated for a library... with computers for research... a row of practice rooms with piano in every room which we can book a day in advance & not get kicked out... an outdoor study area for discussing ideas under the vines or sunbrellas... any more ideas?

i know it all needs money, but at least lets voice it out first, so we can start imagining & being hopeful, for positivity invites positive things to happen. IT'S TRUE!!!

What about for the classrooms? How to increase our learning? Do we want framed posters about history, biographies or timeline... such as those in high school...

ii. SCHOOL

Maybe we want music to be played in the foyer / welcoming hall, to increase our knowledge & song library. Subconsciously listening to the songs will make ourselves familiar to the tunes. Information of the album would be available at the reception desk. The songs could be from Bu Devi's CD collection

ORRRRR....

Maybe instead of a sound system, we should install a Television set which plays videos about history, or plausible performances of great musicians of the past & today, also to play IMDI's videos & excerpts from our VOD (at least to show the new comers & prospect students what we have done & where we are going as a dynamic & creative group).

We should display our sChool aChievements & Trophies & all near the entrance door, or near the seating area. newspaper articles about the school & student achievements are framed or displayed elegantly in such a way that people would be in awe.

By the way... I think we need more corkboards, to separate the stuff we want guests to see, and the ones guests no need to see... such as students & room timetables, list of compulsory songs, & rosters.

Any idea for our new spectacular stage at the corner of our school? HOW do you visualise it to be? It's gonna be at the empty patch of grass at the corner...  Anggie & I will put up some of our ideas & pictures... Please comment or suggest better ideas... or crazy ones too...
